A very special and very old church, full of fantastic features. St Margaret’s is a Saxon foundation, one of a chain of churches established across Kent, from Richborough to Canterbury, to Rochester and London. The outside walls have reused Roman bricks and tiles and the inside walls have some medieval wall paintings. The ancient lead font is a very special feature. Level access, though the car park is a short walk away.
